This conference – hosted by NC Urban Forest Council, NC State University’s College of Natural Resources and the NC Division of Forest Resources – will take place at the Marriott Hotel in downtown Greensboro at 304 N. Greene St. Greensboro Mayor Yvonne J. Johnson will give the opening address for the conference. The City’s Planning Department is a conference sponsor.
Other featured speakers include Dr. Kathleen Wolf of the University of Washington in Seattle, and Gary Moll, vice president of the Ecosystem Analysis Center at American Forests in Washington, DC.
The conference is designed to cover environmental, policy and educational issues, as well as the technical tools and resources needed to assure urban forest quality throughout North Carolina.
