Update on Roadway Flooding

GREENSBORO, NC – (August 27, 2008) – Continued heavy rains have caused significant flooding along the Wendover Avenue and Business 40 corridor, including Wendover’s intersections with Big Tree Way, Bridford Parkway and Landmark Center Drive.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area, police said.

In addition, significant flooding has been reported along Wendover Avenue at Cridland Road and Latham Drive.

Other flooded areas include East Cone Boulevard at Sands Drive and Alamance Church Road at Sharpe Road.
