IMPACT Greensboro Extends Application Deadline to June 1st
GREENSBORO, NC -- (May 22, 2009) – IMPACT Greensboro has extended its application deadline to June 1. IMPACT Greensboro gives residents the opportunity to work with others to understand themselves and the issues and challenges of our community and to forge new ways to address them.
The program is a combination of education, skill building and small group work that allows for the thoughtful examination of the dynamics of diversity, leadership and community building. The goal of IMPACT Greensboro is to create a vibrant network of community “Change Agents” who are equipped to identify and tackle community issues. Fifty participants will be chosen to become “Change Agents” upon completion of the intensive year-long program.
The program is currently seeking applications from area residents, who are committed to addressing community issues and developing relationships with people from diverse cultures. Applications are available online on IMPACT Greensboro's Web site or by calling 336-217-9714.
IMPACT Greensboro is a partnership between the Greensboro Human Relations Commission/Department, Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro, and UNC-Greensboro Center for Youth, Family and Community Partnerships.
