 Public Invited to Community Meeting on Allocation of
New American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Bonds

GREENSBORO, NC – (November 18, 2009) – Interested in learning about the federal Recovery Zone Economic Development and Facility bonds? Guilford County and the cities of Greensboro and High Point invite property owners and developers to a meeting on the topic Monday, November 23, at 4 pm at Jamestown Town Hall, 301 E. Main St. in Jamestown. These new bonds were created as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) and are designed to encourage private investment in economic development projects.

At the meeting, staff from Guilford County and the cities of Greensboro and High Point will discuss in detail the purpose of the bonds, how they will help the local economy and the process for submitting project proposals for this bonding authority.
