City Web Site Lists Small Businesses

GREENSBORO, NC -- (June 26, 2009) – In an effort to support the economic growth of Greensboro’s small businesses – defined as those with 100 or fewer employees – City Council has authorized the City to publish a listing of small businesses on its Web site.

To be included on this online list, small business owners are required to purchase a City Business Privilege License and renew it annually. This is accomplished by business owners submitting to the City’s Collections Division a completed Privilege License Application and paying the required fee(s). The application asks applicants if they want their business information published on the City’s Web site.

The list will be updated on the first business day of every month.

(The list of recipients of Business Privilege Licenses is public information and the publication of the list on its Web site in no way indicates the City’s endorsement of these businesses.)
