City Offices Closed for Independence Day
GREENSBORO, NC – (June 24, 2009) – City of Greensboro offices will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of Independence Day. The following services and facilities will operate on a holiday schedule:
- No trash or recycling pick-up will take place on Friday, July 3. Friday’s collection will take place on Thursday, July 2. Thursday’s collection takes place on Wednesday, July 1.
- The White Street Landfill and the Solid Waste Transfer Station will both be closed on Saturday, July 4.
- All branches of the Greensboro Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, but will operate regular hours on Sunday, July 5. The Greensboro Historical Museum will be open on Saturday, July 4, from 10 am to 5 pm.
- GTA and SCAT will both run normal service on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4.
