Sidewalk Construction Begins
GREENSBORO, NC -- (June 23, 2009) – The City of Greensboro began construction Monday, June 22, on three miles of new sidewalk along the following streets: Caldwell Street, Cotswold Avenue, Friendly Avenue, Glover Street, Guilford College Road, Holden Road, Plymouth Street, Randleman Road and Ward Street. Construction, which is being done by Atlantic Contracting Inc., is expected to be complete by December.
Sidewalk construction was made possible by a federal grant through the Greensboro Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
