Check Your Council District Before You Vote

GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 24, 2009) – With early voting already in progress, many Greensboro residents are just beginning to realize they will be casting ballots in a different district this election. Redistricting was necessary because the City of Greensboro annexed approximately 10,000 residents in 2008, requiring the move of 28 precincts to new voting districts. Here is a list of the voting precincts affected and the new Council districts:

In July 2008, the Guilford County Board of Elections mailed more than 40,000 post cards to voters advising them of their changed Council district.
