Acting Director of Housing and Community Development Selected
GREENSBORO, NC -- (March 13, 2009) – Greensboro Interim City Manager Bob Morgan announced today the selection of Dan Curry as Acting Director of Housing and Community Development (HCD).
Curry joined the City of Greensboro in 1973 as a planning technician for the Planning Department, before working his way up to his most recent position as Deputy Director and Development Manager for HCD. He brings more than 30 years of experience working for the City in various positions in Planning and HCD to his new role. Curry holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental design in landscape architecture from North Carolina State University. He also serves on the board of directors for the Piedmont Triad N.C. Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council, vice president of Greensboro Housing Development Partnership Inc. and assistant secretary of the Redevelopment Commission of Greensboro. Curry’s current salary is $96,712.
