Fire Department Recognizes Fire Prevention Week with Fire Safety Puppet Show
GREENSBORO, NC -- (October 1, 2009) -- In recognition of Fire Prevention Week October 4-10, the Greensboro Fire Department (GFD) is presenting weekday fire safety puppet shows at the Public Safety Training Facility, 1510 N. Church St. Show times are 9:15 am and 10:30 am Monday through Friday, October 5-9. Reservations for each show may be made by calling 373-2177. The shows are free and open to the public.
The theme for this year's national Fire Prevention Week is “Stay Fire Smart! Don’t Get Burned” and it focuses on burn awareness and prevention, as well as keeping homes safe from common causes of home fires. For tips on fire prevention, visit the GFD's fire safety and prevention Web page.
