Input Invited on Horse Pen Creek Road Planning Study

GREENSBORO, NC – (September 17, 2009) – The City of Greensboro's Department of Transportation (GDOT) invites the public to offer input on the Horse Pen Creek Road Project Study at a public meeting from 5:30-7:30 pm Tuesday, September 22, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2715 Horse Pen Creek Rd.

The meeting focuses on a recommended alternative for improvements to Horse Pen Creek Road from Battleground Avenue to New Garden Road, developed from feedback gathered at the first public meeting on April 30. Members of the project team will be available to discuss the project one-on-one. Project maps showing the recommended alternative will also be available. Public feedback will be used to fine-tune the alternative.

The public can also track the status of the project at www.greensboro-nc.gov/horsepencreek/. This project was identified for funding as part of the package of transportation improvements approved in the November 2008 Bond Referendum.
