City Employees Selected to Lead National Human Rights Organization
GREENSBORO, NC – (November 5, 2009) – Two City of Greensboro employees, Dr. Anthony Wade and Yamile Walker, both of the City’s Human Relations Department, were recently selected to top ranking positions with the National Association of Human Rights Workers (NAHRW), an organization committed to providing education and training to foster equality within communities.
Wade, Director of the City’s Human Relations Department and Acting Director of the City’s Parks & Recreation Department, was selected as NAHRW’s 2009 President-Elect. He will take the helm in October 2011. Walker, the City’s Human Relations Administrator for Logistics and Outreach, was appointed to the organization’s Board of Directors. She began her role in October.
