City Offices Closed in Observance of Labor Day
GREENSBORO, NC -- (August 28, 2009) – City of Greensboro offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. The following services and facilities will be affected:
- No garbage, recycling, bulk trash, yard waste or appliance collections will take place Monday, September 7. Monday’s collection will take place Tuesday, September 8. Tuesday’s collection will take place Wednesday, September 9.
- The White Street Landfill and Solid Waste Transfer Station will both be closed Monday, September 7. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, September 8.
- The Greensboro Historical Museum and all branches of the Greensboro Public Library will be closed Monday, September 7. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, September 8.
- The Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) will operate on a Saturday schedule, 6 am to 10 pm, on Monday, September 7. HEAT will also operate on a Saturday schedule. SCAT will operate normally from 6 am to 10 pm. There will be no Career Express service serving the Greensboro/High Point/Winston-Salem area.
