City Holds Public Meetings on Land Development Ordinance and City-wide Rezoning

GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 10, 2009) – The City of Greensboro will hold two community meetings to get public input on the draft Land Development Ordinance (LDO) and to discuss the city-wide rezoning policies associated with the ordinance. The LDO will serve as the source for standards and regulations related to land-use and development in the city.

The meetings will be held Tuesday, September 15, from 6-8 pm at the Barber Park Community Room, 1500 Dan’s Rd. (off of East Florida Street), and Thursday, September 17, from 4-6 pm at the Natural Science Center, Council of Garden Clubs Building, 4301-A Lawndale Dr. City staff will be on-hand at both meetings to provide additional information on the LDO and the accompanying city-wide rezoning.

Also, comments on the draft are being taken until September 30. Comments can be given to the Planning Department via phone at 336-373-2144 or in person by visiting its office.
