City Offices to Close in Observance of Memorial Day
GREENSBORO, NC -- (May 18, 2009) – City of Greensboro offices will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. The following services and facilities will be affected:
- No garbage, recycling, bulk trash, yard waste and appliance collections will take place Monday, May 25. Monday’s collection will take place Tuesday, May 26. Tuesday’s collection will take place Wednesday, May 27.
- The White Street Landfill and Solid Waste Transfer Station will both be closed Monday, May 25. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 26.
- The Greensboro Historical Museum and all branches of the Greensboro Public Library will be closed Monday, May 25. Regular hours will resume Tuesday, May 26.
- The Greensboro Transit Authority (GTA) will operate on a Saturday schedule with hourly service from 6 am to 10 pm. There will be no HEAT or Career Express service. SCAT will operate normally. Regular operation on all GTA services will resume Tuesday, May 26. Get GTA updates sent directly to your cell phone by texting “follow gtaheat” to 40404.
