City to Hold Public Meeting on Horse Pen Creek Road Project
GREENSBORO, NC -- (April 24, 2009) – The City of Greensboro’s Department of Transportation (GDOT) will hold a public meeting to discuss improvements to Horse Pen Creek Road. The meeting will be held Thursday, April 30, from 5:30-7:30 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2715 Horse Pen Creek Rd.
The public is invited to meet with members of the project team who will be available to discuss the project. Project maps showing the proposed alternatives will be available for viewing during this period. Feedback from this meeting will be used to develop the final recommended alternative, which will be presented at the next public meeting.
This project, which will provide improvements to Horse Pen Creek from Battleground Avenue to New Garden Road, was identified for funding as part of the package of transportation improvements that was approved in the November 2008 bond referendum.
If you have questions about the project or are unable to attend the meeting, you may provide input by contacting Chris Spencer, PE, Congestion Management & ITS Engineer, at 336-433-7218.
