Arboretum Candlefest Scheduled for December 4

GREENSBORO, NC -- (November 29, 2010) -- From 6-9 pm Saturday, December 4, Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department joins the Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont Council to host Candlefest at the Greensboro Arboretum, located off W. Market Street.

Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate as you stroll along the walkways lined with more than 3,500 luminaries. Activities include music, horse and carriage rides, live entertainment, and refreshments. Join the scouts and pipers as they escort Santa to the Winter Gazebo at 6:30 pm.

Admission is free; canned goods will be collected by Girl Scout Service Unit #148 to benefit the Greensboro Urban Ministry. For more information, contact Bernadette White at 336-373-2577.
