Friends of the Library Used Book Sale Scheduled for May 1
GREENSBORO, NC -- (April 27, 2010) -- Friends of the Greensboro Public Library holds its semi-annual used book sale from 9 am to 2 pm Saturday, May 1, at Central Library, 219 N. Church St.
Readers can find fiction, history, business, children’s, and self-help books, and an assortment of rare and collectible books on sale. Also available will be books-on-tape and on CD, as well as music CDs and DVDs. Various prices and bulk offers will be considered. Most hardbacks are priced at $2 and most paperbacks are 50 cents.
“This is a great example of recycling. We offer great books at bargain prices, so it is also a way to stretch your dollar in this tight economy,” says Librarian Beth Sheffield. All items for sale are community donations. Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library, a diverse nonprofit organization whose purpose is to support the community’s cultural and literary needs.
