W. Cornwallis Drive Sewerline Work Begins June 14

GREENSBORO, NC -- (June 7, 2010) -- Beginning 9 am Monday, June 14, W. Cornwallis Drive between Lawndale Drive and N. Elm Street will be closed for sewerline rehabilitation. This includes a portion of the intersection of W. Cornwallis and Lawndale drives. Work continues Mondays through Thursdays from 9 am to 4 pm until August 19.

Motorists are urged to find alternate routes to avoid this area; extended delays will occur and should be expected along the work zone. Meanwhile, detour signs will be in place to direct eastbound Cornwallis Drive motorists to go north on Lawndale Drive to Cone Boulevard then east to N. Elm Street and then south back to Cornwallis. Cornwallis' westbound motorists will be routed north on N. Elm Street and west on Cone Boulevard to Lawndale Drive south.
