Clean Up Your Environment & Protect Our Environment on April 16
GREENSBORO, NC – (April 13, 2010) – Spring Cleanup is Friday, April 16, and from 9 am to 3 pm Guilford County residents are welcome to drop off household items for free environmentally safe disposal at the back parking lot of the Guilford County Agricultural Center, 3309 Burlington Rd.
Items accepted include old tires, large appliances, household hazardous waste (antifreeze, motor oil, paint and supplies, cleaners, batteries, chemicals, etc.), and household electronic waste (anything with an electronic chip such as computers, televisions, electronic games, cell phones, etc.). Business waste is not accepted.
The event is co-sponsored by the City's Environmental Services Department, Guilford County Planning and Development, Prison Farm, and NC A&T State University’s Cooperative Extension. For more information, call 336-641-3792 or 336-375-5876.
