Library Implements E-Mail Notifications

GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 17, 2010) -- In an effort to provide faster service and reduce costs, the Greensboro Public Library will soon begin using e-mail to notify customers of updates to their accounts. Beginning in October, hold notices, overdue notices, and other communications will be sent to customers through e-mail. The Library will no longer send notifications by way of the US Postal Service.

As always, however, the first attempt to contact a customer will be by phone, and now also by e-mail.

All Library customers are encouraged to register their e-mail addresses as soon as possible by calling their local branch or visiting any Library location.
