Greensboro Youth Council's Annual Ghoulash! Festival is October 23

GREENSBORO, NC -- (October 15, 2010) -- The Greensboro Youth Council's annual Ghoulash! Halloween festival is 5-9 pm Saturday, October 23, in the Cultural Arts District, 200 N. Davie St. Ghoulash!, a free and public event, is safe fun for the entire family.
 
This year’s activities include face painting, removable tattoos, and inflatables for kids up to age 10. Also highlighting the evening are community game booths, storytelling, a pirate maze, bingo, arts and crafts, entertainment, and of course, candy.

A costume contest for children ages 3 and under is from 6-6:30 pm; for ages 4-6 from 6:45-7:15 pm, and for ages 7-10 from 7:30-8 pm. Prizes will be awarded for the first three places in each age group. Costumes will be judged on originality and overall appearance. Participants must register 30 minutes prior to each contest to participate.

A small activity fee will be charged for community fund-raising game booths, the City Arts Haunted House, the Community Theater’s Haunted House, ArtQuest crafts, and other events held in the Greensboro Cultural Center.
