18th Annual Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament Tees Off August 2

GREENSBORO, NC – (July 29, 2010) – The 18th annual Greensboro/Guilford Crime Stoppers Golf Tournament takes place Monday, August 2, at Forest Oaks Country Club. Tee-off time for the Captain’s Choice format will be 8:30 am. The tournament is the largest fund raiser for the Crime Stoppers program.

This year, the tournament is sponsored by Edward Jones Investments, Harley-Davidson of Greensboro/High Point, J&S Cafeteria, and the Greensboro Merchants Association. Crime Stoppers encourages people to provide information on crimes and criminal activity anonymously. Valid tips that result in the arrest of an individual are eligible for a monetary reward of up to $2,000. Crime Stoppers is funded by donations from private sources, not tax dollars.
