Cast Your Vote for ‘Google Greensboro’ at Community Events
GREENSBORO, NC, (March 25, 2010) – Friday, March 26, is the last day for the public to nominate Greensboro as a testing site for Google’s ultra high-speed broadband network and the City of Greensboro will hold a series of events over the next 48 hours to get more people involved. Google Greensboro’s Mobile Tour will make a stop at NC Agricultural and Technical State University’s Student Union today, March 25, from 12 noon to 3 pm. It will also stop at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Student Union from 10 am to 2 pm this Friday, March 26. And as a final push to the finish line, a major Google Greensboro community drive will be held this Friday from 4-8 pm at Natty Greene’s Pub & Brewing Co., 345 S. Elm St.
Laptops will be available at all three events for the public to submit their nominations for Greensboro. The first 30 individuals who nominate Greensboro at the events will receive a free Google Fiber T-Shirt (while supplies last).
