GYC Hosts Orientation for New Members August 12
GREENSBORO, NC -- (August 6, 2010) -- The Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) will hold its Summer Orientation for potential members from 5-6 pm Thursday, August 12, at the GYC office, 501 Yanceyville St. Guilford County high school students interested in becoming more involved in the community should attend this meeting to learn more about GYC and how to join.
GYC teaches leadership skills and responsibility and is a fun way to meet new people. Last year, the GYC teens had an economic community impact of raising $448,940 through donations, grants and community projects, and logged more than 13,000 hours of volunteer service.
