Greensboro Seniors Hiking Club Qualifier Set for September 29

GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 22, 2010) -- Are you a Guilford County resident age 55 or older and interested in joining a hiking club? If so, attend the Greensboro Seniors Hiking Club qualifier at 10 am Wednesday, September 29, at Country Park’s Shelter #1, 3902 Nathanael Greene Dr. To qualify for club membership, you must walk around Country Park twice (3.2 miles) in 70 minutes or less. A second qualifying opportunity will be held Wednesday, October 13, at the same location.

The hiking club meets on Wednesdays from September through June to hike together at various locations in Guilford and nearby counties. Annual club membership fee is $10. For more information, call Cindy Hipp, Greensboro Seniors coordinator, at 336-375-2237.
