City Breaks Ground on New Keeley Park August 5
GREENSBORO, NC -- (July 20, 2010) – The City of Greensboro’s Parks and Recreation Department invites the public to join City officials, staff and dignitaries to the groundbreaking ceremony for Phase I of the Keeley Park Master Plan. The groundbreaking will be held at 10 am Thursday, August 5, at Keeley Park, 4138 Keeley Rd.
Amenities of Phase I include a community garden, sprayground, picnic shelters, playgrounds, restrooms/concessions, trails and walkways, additional parking, and pond and dam improvements.
Construction of the new park will be complete in two phases over the next two years as bond funds become available. Phase I will be complete in July 2011.
Phase II amenities will include a baseball/softball field complex, multi-purpose playing fields, a dog park, and additional picnic areas, playgrounds, restroom/concessions, and parking.
