Public Meetings Scheduled for Greensboro Landmark Project

GREENSBORO, NC -- (July 8, 2010) -- The Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with the National Park Service, Natural Science Center of Greensboro, and Guilford County to connect major park facilities and community attractions included in the Greensboro Landmark Project. Two interactive public meetings are scheduled for residents to share ideas on this project, which involves connecting approximately 400 acres in Country Park, Jaycee Park, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Natural Science Center, and Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.

The public input sessions are:

  • Thursday, July 15, 6:30-8:30 pm, Natural Science Center, 4301 Lawndale Rd.
  • Thursday, September 16, 6:30-8:30 pm, Guilford Courthouse National Military Park, 2332 New Garden Rd.
