Second Greensboro Landmark Project Meeting Set for September 16
GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 8, 2010) -- A second public meeting on the Greensboro Landmark Project takes place 6:30-8:30 pm Thursday, September 16, at Guilford Courthouse National Military Park Visitor’s Center, 2332 New Garden Rd. The project involves connecting about 400 acres of park facilities and community attractions, including Country Park, Jaycee Park, Forest Lawn Cemetery, the Natural Science Center, and the Guilford Courthouse National Military Park.
Area residents are welcome to share their ideas about the plan at the September 16 meeting. The project is lead by the City's Parks and Recreation Department, the National Park Service, the Natural Science Center of Greensboro, and Guilford County.
