City's M/WBE Hosts Small Business Workshop November 13
GREENSBORO, NC (November 3, 2010) – The City of Greensboro’s Minority and Women’s Business Enterprise (M/WBE) program hosts a workshop for small business owners Saturday, November 13, from 9 am to 12:30 pm at the Blandwood House, 400 W. McGee St. The event, titled “What You Don’t Know Can Cost You,” is free and open to the public and offers tips related to successfully managing and operating a company.
Workshop attendees will learn how to establish and set important business practices and create policies that prohibit or minimize financial liabilities against a company. Also included on the agenda are presentations that educate business owners on establishing a wide-range of personnel policies suitable for their type of business.
Representatives from the US Department of Labor, the Employment Security Commission, the City of Greensboro Attorney’s Office, and Senn Dunn Insurance will serve as workshop presenters. To register for the event, contact the M/WBE office at 336-373-2674.
