Next OPUS Concerts are November 12 & 13

GREENSBORO, NC -- (November 8, 2010) -- The 2010-11 OPUS Concert Series continues this month with two free 7:30 pm performances on Friday, November 12, and Saturday, November 13.

On November 12, the Greensboro Concert Band performs at Guilford College's Dana Auditorium, 5800 W. Friendly Ave. Under the direction of Evan Feldman, the concert will include a mix of wind ensemble music, including a transcription of Wagner’s Die Meistersinger and The Typewriter by Leroy Anderson, music by Howard Hanson, and more.

On November 13, the Choral Society of Greensboro and the Greensboro College Chorale, both under the direction of Jon Brotherton, perform Bach’s Magnificat and Vivaldi’s Gloria with a live orchestra at First Baptist Church, 1000 W. Friendly Ave.
