Lake Townsend Watershed Park Hosts Open House May 1
GREENSBORO, NC -- (April 26, 2010) -- To showcase recent renovations, Lake Townsend Watershed Park staff are hosting an open house from 9 am to 3 pm Saturday, May 1, throughout the park. Stop by to check out the new fishing pier and all the handicap-accessible facilities.
Free pier fishing will be available, the Lake Townsend Yacht Club will provide sailing demonstrations, and door prizes will be given away during the event. Fishing bait and tackle can be purchased at the marina and boat rentals will be available for rowboats, sailboats, and kayaks. Year-round discounts are also available for residents with disabilities.
The Lake Townsend marina is adjacent to Bryan Park, 6332 Lake Townsend Rd., Browns Summit. For more information, call the marina office at 336-373-3694.
