Lake Higgins Hosts 2nd Annual Paddle Days on August 14

GREENSBORO, NC -- (August 9, 2010) -- Lake Higgins Watershed Park hosts the second annual Paddle Days of August from 8 am to 3 pm Saturday, August 14. Activities include hands-on demonstrations on how to use different types of kayaks, an on-water clean sweep of the lake, and an Eco Tour. Boats will be provided for people interested in trying out state-of-the-art kayak designs and equipment.

This free event is a cooperative project between the Greensboro Watershed Parks, Get Outdoors, Earth Fare, and local community paddling groups. Lake Higgins is located at 4235 Hamburg Mill Rd., Summerfield.
