City Outdoor Pools Open Beginning Memorial Day Weekend

GREENSBORO, NC -- (May 20, 2010) -- City-owned outdoor pools will open for the summer season on weekends beginning Memorial Day weekend, May 29-31. Regular weekday operations at Lindley, Windsor, Peeler, and Warnersville pools begin Monday, June 14, and continue through Sunday, August 8. Admission for public swimming is $1 for children ages 12 and under, and $2 for ages 13 and older. For more information, call the Parks and Recreation Department's youth and community programs office at 336-373-2536.

Lindley Pool            Public Swimming: Tuesdays-Sundays, 1-5 pm
                                Closed: Mondays and Wednesdays

Peeler Pool             Public Swimming: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, 1-5 pm
                                Pool Pals: Thursdays, 1-5 pm
                                Closed: Sundays and Mondays

Warnersville Pool    Public Swimming: Thursdays-Sundays, 1-5 pm
                                Pool Pals: Tuesdays, 1-5 pm
                                Closed: Mondays and Wednesdays

Windsor Pool           Public Swimming: Tuesdays and Thursdays-Saturdays, 1-5 pm
                                Pool Pals: Wednesdays, 1-5 pm
                                Closed: Sundays and Mondays
