Public Invited to “Take it to Raleigh” Forum
GREENSBORO, NC (April 27, 2010) – Residents are invited to share their thoughts on state legislative issues when the City of Greensboro hosts the Guilford County Legislative Delegation’s “Take it to Raleigh” public forum. The forum will be held Thursday, April 29, from 6-8 pm in the Council Chamber of the Melvin Municipal Office Building, 300 W. Washington St. It follows a special City Council meeting taking place at 4 pm with the Delegation, which will focus on the Greensboro 2010 Legislative Agenda. At the forum, residents will have an opportunity to hear from state officials about issues affecting North Carolinians and express any ideas or concerns they have about state government. The delegation is made up of 10 members jointly in the House and Senate who represent all or parts of Guilford County, including the cities of Greensboro and High Point.
Free parking is available in the Greene Street Parking Deck after 5 pm. The forum will also be aired live on Channel 13 and on the City’s website at http://greensboro.granicus.com/ViewPublisher.php?view_id=2.
