Applications Being Accepted for GPD's Safety Town Program
GREENSBORO, NC -- (March 24, 2010) -- Applications are now being accepted for this summer's Safety Town, a community service program sponsored by the Greensboro Police Department, Nat Greene Kiwanis Club of Greensboro, and other local civic and business organizations.
Safety Town is a free, two-hour a day, two-week program for five- and six-year-olds that teaches safety lessons involving traffic, pedestrians, bicycles, bus, fire, strangers, poisons, water, and guns.
This year's Safety Town schedule is as follows: Session 1: June 21 - July 2, 9-11 am -- FULL Session 2: June 21 - July 2, 1-3 pm Session 3: July 19 - July 30, 9-11 am Session 4: July 19 - July 30, 1-3 pm Session 5: August 2 - August 13, 9-11 am Session 6: August 2 - August 13, 1-3 pm
