Events Impact Downtown Traffic on October 17

GREENSBORO, NC – (October 13, 2010) – Two events scheduled to take place in downtown Greensboro may impact traffic Sunday, October 17. The main area affected is Greene Street, where three lanes will be closed for pedestrians while one lane will remain open for vehicle traffic.

The Festival Italiano begins at 12 pm and takes place on S. Elm Street, between Washington and McGee streets. The Greensboro Urban Ministry Crop Walk starts at 2:30 pm at NewBridge Bank Park. Participants will walk from Bellemeade Street to Greene and McGee streets, over to Bennett College, and back to the ballpark via Washington, Greene and Lindsay streets. Both events are expected to end by 6 pm.
