Kids for Trails Triathlon Slated for Bur-Mil Park September 19

GREENSBORO, NC -- (September 7, 2010) -- Greensboro Parks and Recreation’s Trails and Greenways staff is teaming up with Earth Fare to host the City's first Kids for Trails Triathlon on Sunday, September 19, at Bur-Mil Park. Open to children ages 7-14, the triathlon includes swimming, running, and biking. The event begins at 8 am and packets can be picked up at 7 am. 

Registration fee is $10 if received before September 10 and $15 if received between September 11-17. Participants can register online at www.greensborotrails.org. On-site registration will not be available on the day of the event. Proceeds benefit the Greensboro trails system.

After the event, participants will be able to tie-dye a triathlon t-shirt while waiting for the awards ceremony, which features prizes donated by event sponsors.
