Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is November 6
GREENSBORO, NC -- (October 29, 2010) -- Looking for some great gift ideas for the upcoming holiday season? The Friends of the Greensboro Public Library holds its semi-annual used book sale from 9 am to 2 pm Saturday, November 6, at Central Library, 219 N. Church St.
You'll find popular titles of fiction, history, self-help, business books, and more, as well as children’s books. Also available are books-on-tape and on CD, and music CDs and DVDs. Also for sale is an assortment of rare and collectible books.
Most hardbacks are priced at $2 and most paperbacks are 50 cents. Various prices and bulk offers will be considered.
“This is a great example of recycling. We offer great books at bargain prices, so it is also a way to stretch your dollar in this tight economy,” says Librarian Beth Sheffield.
All items for sale are community donations. Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library, a diverse nonprofit organization whose purpose is to support the community’s cultural and literary needs.
