GYC Seeks Carnival Volunteers

GREENSBORO, NC -- (March 24, 2010) -- The Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) is seeking local Guilford County high school students as volunteers for the GYC Carnival to be held May 11-16 at the Greensboro Coliseum. Interested students are asked to submit a volunteer application to the GYC office, 501 Yanceyville St., by 5 pm Friday, April 9.

Volunteers are needed to work with games booths, ticket sales, face-painting tables, a maze, and clowns. Students will earn free admission to the carnival along with ride passes and other incentives.

Applications are available online at www.gyccarnival.com, via e-mail at gyc@greensboro-nc.gov or by calling the GYC office at 336-373-2738. The Greensboro Youth Council is a program of the Greensboro Parks & Recreation Department.
