City Officials Ready to Walk Neighborhoods

GREENSBORO, NC – (September 16, 2010) – City Manager Rashad Young and other members of the City of Greensboro’s executive team will be hitting the streets in the Fisher Park neighborhood Monday, September 20, at 5:30 pm, resuming the Neighborhood Walks Program.

The walks are part of a new City project that aims to provide opportunities for community leaders and residents to discuss issues that are important to them with the City’s executive team.

Following are dates and locations of walking tours planned this fall:

  • District 3, Fisher Park -- September 20
  • District 4, Lindley Park -- September 27 
  • District 2, Phillips Avenue and surrounding area neighborhoods -- October 4
  • District 5, Meadowoods -- October 6
  • District 1, Glenwood -- October 11

Each tour will last two hours with breaks for refreshments and discussion. Route details will be released prior to each walking tour.
