Friends of the Library Used Book Sale is April 30
GREENSBORO, NC -- (April 21, 2011) -- The Friends of the Greensboro Public Library holds its semi-annual used book sale from 9 am to 2 pm Saturday, April 30, at Central Library, 219 N. Church St.
Readers will find fiction, history, children’s books, self-help, business titles and many other subject areas. Also available will be books-on-tape and on CDs as well as music CDs and DVDs. Most hardbacks are $2 and most paperbacks are 50 cents.
Following the regular sale at 2:30, the Library's Bag Sale begins. Readers receive a bag they can fill with remaining books for just $5 per bag.
A Preview Sale for Friends members is 5-6:30 pm Friday, April 29. If you are not a member and would like to attend the preview sale, memberships will be available at the door.
“This is a great example of recycling. We offer fantastic books at bargain prices, so it is also a way the stretch your dollar,” says Librarian Beth Sheffield.
All items for sale are community donations. Proceeds from the sale go to the Friends of the Greensboro Public Library, a diverse nonprofit organization whose purpose is to support the community’s cultural and literary needs.
