Library Offers Free Child Safety Program on January 10
GREENSBORO, NC -- (January 3, 2011) -- A free child safety program will be offered from 4-5:30 pm Monday, January 10, in the Children’s Room at Central Library, 219 N. Church St. Co-sponsored by the Greensboro Police Department and Liberty Mutual, the program explains to children 'stranger danger,' offers fingerprinting for all children, and provides safety kits to parents.
The kits, called Safety First Child Identification, contain DNA swabs and storage containers, an ink strip for fingerprinting, charts to record height, weight, and dental information, safety tips, and instructions for how to make the best use of the kit.
