Traffic Alert Set for Coliseum January 14-15

GREENSBORO, NC -- (January 14, 2011) -- Due to anticipated capacity crowds for events at the Greensboro Coliseum Friday and Saturday, January 14-15, the Greensboro Police Department (GPD) advises patrons to arrive 90 minutes prior to event start times and carpool if possible.

GPD will manage major intersections in the vicinity of the Coliseum and use variable messaging systems to advise motorists of parking and traffic information.

Coliseum parking lots will open at 3:30 pm on both dates. Patrons are encouraged to use the Lee Street parking lot (located at the northeast corner of Lee Street and Coliseum Boulevard) for convenient access to the north end of the Coliseum and post-event exiting.
