Traffic Alert Set for Coliseum March 10-13
GREENSBORO, NC -- (March 10, 2011) -- Due to anticipated capacity crowds for events at the Greensboro Coliseum Thursday through Sunday, March 10-13, the Greensboro Police Department (GPD) advises patrons to arrive 90 minutes prior to event start times and carpool if possible. Parking lots open at 8 am daily.
GPD will manage major intersections in the vicinity of the Coliseum and use variable messaging systems to advise motorists of parking and traffic information. Drivers should be alert and prepared to follow directions given by police officers. When there is a conflict between a traffic control device, such as a traffic signal or sign, always follow the directions given by an officer.
