“Day of the Child, Day of the Book” Event is April 30
GREENSBORO, NC – (April 21, 2011) – The Greensboro Public Library hosts its third annual international celebration of children and reading, “Day of the Child, Day of the Book” from 12 noon to 6 pm Saturday, April 30, at Center City Park in downtown Greensboro.
Families can celebrate reading with a Latin twist, pet a llama, dance the mambo, and play soccer with the Carolina Dynamo. The event, also known as “El día de los niños/El día de los libros,” features poetry readings, music, prizes, a resource fair, food and craft vendors, books, ArtQuest activities, and a special appearance by Maya and Miguel of PBS-TV.
