Kathleen Clay Edwards Library Celebrates Earth Day April 2
Great American Cleanup Kicks Off Day's Events

GREENSBORO, NC (March 22, 2011) – Kathleen Clay Edwards Family Branch Library, 1420 Price Park Rd., holds its annual Earth Day celebration 1-5 pm Saturday, April 2. Scheduled attractions include alternative vehicles, geocaching, eco-art, solar and technology displays, nature walks, gardening and nature exhibits, nature crafts, hayrides, live animals, and entertainment.

Local band Latin Rio plays from 2-3:30 pm at the outdoor show wagon stage. Extra parking is available near Jefferson Elementary School and features hayride shuttles to the library. All activities are free and open to the public. For more information, call 336-373-2923.

To kick off Earth Day events, the Great American Cleanup takes place throughout Greensboro from 9 am to 12 noon Saturday, April 2.
