GYC Spring Membership Drive Begins March 7
GREENSBORO, NC -- (March 1, 2011) -- The Greensboro Youth Council (GYC) spring membership drive takes place March 7 through April 7. Orientation meetings for all interested Guilford County high school students are at 6-6:30 pm on March 10, 24 and April 7 at the GYC office, 501 Yanceyville St. Each meeting will be followed by a full GYC council meeting.
To join GYC, students are required to attend an orientation meeting, fill out an application, and volunteer 10 hours of service through GYC. Once a member, students must volunteer a certain number of hours each month during the school year to remain in good standing.
GYC provides volunteer and leadership opportunities through the planning and implementation of service projects, which include Big Sweep, Camille’s Magic Closet and the GYC Carnival.
