Check Out Upcoming Sounds of City Arts Music Center

GREENSBORO, NC -- (January 31, 2011) -- The City Arts Music Center, a division of the Greensboro Parks and Recreation Department, invites you to check out the wide variety of sounds its performing ensembles offer. Organized under the name OPUS Concert Series, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, the center's free music events for February feature something for everyone.

The Philharmonia of Greensboro presents its annual Pillow Pops concert at 2:05 pm Sunday, February 6, in room 100 of the Greensboro Cultural Center. The theme of the concert is "Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra." Children are invited to wear their favorite pajamas and bring a pillow and blanket to relax with while watching and listening to the show.

The Greensboro Big Band performs is annual Sweet Sounds Valentine's concert at 6:05 pm Sunday, February 13, at Bur-Mil Clubhouse. Put on your dancing shoes and bring your sweetheart for a night of dancing and listening.
