Police/Community Forum Scheduled for January 20

GREENSBORO, NC – (January 14, 2011) – The Greensboro Police Department (GPD) hosts a Police/Community Forum at 6:30 pm Thursday, January 20, at Warnersville Recreation Center, 601 Doak St., to educate residents about a variety of topics. Additional sessions were held in November and December.

Chief Ken Miller, senior command staff, and patrol commanders will provide crime statistics as well as discuss the functions of patrol work groups, call prioritization, and other facts unique to each patrol district. Miller will also review changes in GPD including mission and core values revisions, a restructuring process, core strategies, and discipline process revisions.

The public will be asked to comment on or make suggestions concerning core values and the mission statement. There will also be time set aside for questions and answers.
